Greycells is proud to collaborate with the Eduki Foundation, a leading civic education organization in Switzerland. Together, we help connect young minds with international experience, bringing the values of International Geneva and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to life. www.eduki.ch
Although the KidsWannaKnow initiative is no longer active and has been removed from the Eduki website, it remains a milestone in Greycells’ engagement with youth.
Co-organized with the UN Perception Change Project and Eduki, this innovative program invited children and students to interview Greycells members—retired international civil servants—with unfiltered, thought-provoking questions on topics such as global justice, peace, and sustainable development.
"Why doesn’t the UN stop wars?"
"Can children make peace?"
"What happens if a country ignores the SDGs?"
These direct and disarmingly honest exchanges offered rare moments of connection between generations, providing insight and inspiration for both sides.
While the program itself has ended, it paved the way for deeper forms of youth engagement, including classroom dialogues, guided visits, and mentoring activities that continue today.
Some of the most meaningful KidsWannaKnow moments feature current Greycells members.
The Eduki National Competition is an ongoing biennial contest that empowers students across Switzerland to create projects, campaigns, or multimedia content in support of the SDGs.
Led by the Eduki Foundation, this competition is a dynamic and accessible platform for youth expression and civic involvement.

For Greycells, this collaboration helps inspire a new generation of active citizens, while making the values of International Geneva tangible and relevant for young people.
Building on the foundations above, Greycells and Eduki are now expanding their partnership:
We are co-developing a “dossier pédagogique” on International Geneva, designed for use in Geneva’s public and private secondary schools (academic, general, and vocational). This resource will help teachers bring global issues into the classroom and connect students to the city’s international identity.
Greycells’ members are now involved in Eduki-organized school visits to international organizations, where they share their experiences and engage directly with students through discussion and storytelling. Similar activities took already place in the past.
Students are encouraged to reflect on their experiences in writing or other creative formats. The most compelling contributions may be recognized with prizes or public visibility—giving young people a voice and a platform.
This partnership is about building bridges—between generations, between Geneva and the world, and between values and action.
Together, Greycells and Eduki help:
Greycells’ members contribute pro bono, committed to passing on not just knowledge, but a spirit of service and global solidarity.
