Welcome to the site of a young association

Greycells - Association of former international civil servants for development - has been formally established on 17th January 2008 by a group of former staff members who retired from service in the UN system organizations and in other international organizations. These retirees consider that the years of retirement offer an opportunity to “give something back”. They believe in the principles and objectives embodied in the UN Charter and in the constitutional mandates of their respective former organizations.

Greycells is a platform through which retired international civil servants willing to contribute to the global development effort can make their experience and expertise available, on a volunteer basis.

Greycells has identified two main lines of action: one in support of the international community’s work in the developing world; and another, Geneva-based, under which the association is co-operating with Swiss institutions, as well as with intergovernmental organizations and accredited country representatives, with a view to improving the information capacity, outreach and hospitality facilities of this host city for so many international organizations and NGOs.

Thank you for your visit.
